Rush Lancer's summer camp 2012

Also this year our friends from Rush Lancer Highlander invited to the traditional summer camp at Nowhere. The slogan "back to the roots" was proclaimed. That means, that this camp should find back to its origin and its proper idea, that every tent should have its own fire- and cooking place and as far as possible be decorated with historical items. Also to hide unauthentic items was part of the idea. The only sufferer in this camp was Cookie - he had nearly no one of the hobbyist to cook for. Traditionally the weather was diversified - beneath snow there was everything.

Our youngest lady from the south, Clara-Michelle, had successfully infiltrated the north and tried to be a "blue" one. With a much too big jacket and cap she diligently marched and reduced her grandma to despair. Meanwhile she is refined and knows, that she is a proud "grey".

Naturally the daily flag parade of the northern uniformed could not be lacking. The big flag parade was strenghtened by the south, represented by Olaf and Tony, who were in authority as highest ranking military officers. Well - authority is relative - the whole force slided from one fit of laughter to the next, dynamically supported by the laughing spectators.

As Lena didn't already know Pullman City, a daily tour to the park was also on the program. Roland, whose clothings were more from the medieval, was furnished by diverse items and clothes from all hobbyists and made to a considerable trapper. Once more was shown that hobbyists spontaneously stand together and supoort each other.

This year, Hudson Bay Trading Company under new leading of Anita and Olaf was re-opened. Here everybody could trade and bought ad libitum resp. at delight of Olaf. The new owner also offered to sell brought along goods. Olaf's leather goods were a resounding success and his game bags quickly out of stock. To remark is, that Anita has a special talent for engraving the leather and already some orders resulted in this talent.

Also Rainer hold his Saloon open this week and spoiled us with a private concert on two evenings.

Generally speaking the camp was well organized und visited and we are already glad to a week of summer camp in 2013.
